Dionysia Bikou has been working as a midwife in the team of Konstantinos Sfakianoudis since 2016.She has many years of experience in the practice of midwifery and in supporting pregnant women in all stages of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
In 2000, she graduated from the Department of Midwifery of the School of Health and Welfare Professions of the Thessaloniki University of Technology and completed a thesis on: “Pre-eclampsia in pregnancy”. In 2012, she obtained her Master’s degree in Pathology of Pregnancy from the Medical School of the Hellenic University of Athens.
From 2009 to 2016, she held the position of General Supervisor and Head of Maternity Midwife Room at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic “GAIA” of the Athens Medical Centre.
From 2007 to 2017 she was a Laboratory Associate at the Department of Obstetrics of the University of West Attica and was responsible for the laboratory training of students in the Labor and Delivery Rooms and in the “High Risk Labor” departments of the “Alexandra”, “Elena Venizelos” and “Manginio” Maternity Hospital.
From 2001 to 2007 she worked as a midwife at the maternity hospitals “Hera” and “LETO” and at the Intensive Care Unit of “IASO GENERAL”. In between 2000-2009 she cooperated with several obstetric-gynecological clinics providing her services in the perinatal period of the woman.
In 2002 she received specialized training in the Intensive Care Unit for infarction at the “Onassis” Cardiac Surgery Center as well as in General and Cardiac Surgery.
