Anastasia Debegioti-Sfakianoudis is an Endocrinologist with many years of experience in dealing with disorders of Metabolism, Diabetes, Hormonal Disorders and is specialising in Reproductive Endocrinology.
In 1994, she was admitted to the Medical School of the University of Patras and she graduated after six years of study.This was followed by a two-year internship in Pathology at the “Amalia Flemig” Athens Hospital and one-year specialisation in the Pediatric Endocrinology Department of the “Agia Sophia” University Hospital under the supervision of the internationally renowned professor Mr. Chrousos.
At the same time, she prepared her PhD thesis at the Department of Experimental Pharmacology of the Medicine School of the University of Athens entitled as “The role of HSPs in the protection of the hyperthyroid myocardium against ischemia”.
In 2005, she left for Liege, Belgium, in order to join the executive staff of the famous Professor of Endocrinology, A. Beckers, who invited her to join his research group. The subject of her work was pituitary adenomas and it was published in the prestigious medical journal JCEM with an international impact.

In 2006, with the invitation of Professor of Endocrinology B. Corvilain, she joined the Endocrinology Department of the largest University Hospital of Brussels “Hopital Erasme”, where he dealt with numerous cases until 2009.
She returned back to Greece in 2009 and ever since, she offers her services in private practice covering the entire range of Endocrinology diseases, in collaboration with various other medical specialties.
