Dr.Konstantinos Sfakianoudis was born in Athens in 1975. He is an obstetrician-gynaecologist with many years of experience, specialising in assisted reproduction and a pioneer in his field with worldwide recognition.

In 1993, he graduated from the College of Athens, with honours and then attended the Medical School of the University of Patras, from which he graduated after 6 years of study. In 2002, he completed an one-year training in General Surgery at Penteli Children’s Hospital and then trained for two years in General Gynecology at the G. Gennimatas General State Hospital.

An important stepping stone in his career was Brussels, where from 2005 to 2007 he practised obstetrics and endoscopic gynaecology at the CHU St Pierre University Hospital under the guidance of the internationally renowned Professor Degueldre, pioneer of laparoscopic and robotic gynaecology.

He holds the European Diploma in Laparoscopic Gynecology from Clermont- Ferrand University, specialises in Reproductive Gynecology at Université Libre de Bruxelles and is awarded by the Belgian Medical Association with the ABEFUM prize for the best research work in Obstetrics. In 2007, he took over the management of the IVF department at the largest maternity hospital in Brussels, Hopital D’ Ixelles, and at the same time he was in charge of the One-Day Clinic. Meanwhile, he also obtained a title of specialisation in male infertility under the supervision of the internationally renowned Professor of Andrology Hamamah in Toulouse.

In 2009, he returned to Greece and joined Genesis Clinic in Athens, where he still practises his medical activities and actively participates in the establishment of new IVF Clinics in Romania, Crete and Thessaly.

Dr. Sfakianoudis loves research and therefore he works with passion in the treatment of infertility, as a result of which in 2016 he presented to the world the pioneering PRP method for the ovarian rejuvenation, which has now been applied all over the world. Medical teams from abroad are trained under his guidance and hundreds of women manage to become mothers benefiting from this treatment.

In 2019, he innovated again with the LUPO method, an egg collection technique in the luteal phase of the natural cycle, which has already given children to hundreds of women who had egg donation as their only alternative option.

Faithful to the research for new methods as well as clinical applications, he continues to produce scientific publications to this day, many of which are pivotal points in the medical literature. A special modern field of his work is also the diagnosis and treatment of chronic inflammation of the uterus.

He is a member of ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology), the French Society of Andrologists (SALF) as well as the Belgian Association of Doctors specialised in infertility (BSRM).
